Brach’s Thanksgiving Sweet Corn tastes like turkey, stuffing, and more

Classic sweet corn is notoriously divisive. Sicky sugar snack foods are the most hated candy in the United States For Thanksgiving, the maker of corn candy, says 2020 by Brach outdone himself with a flavor that is sure to turn heads (and stomachs). As Texas Standard reports, the product captures the essence of a turkey dinner in the form of candy corn.

Brach’s Seasonal Sweet Corn features a variety of colorful pieces, each representing a different side to a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Some flavors are sweet, like cranberry sauce, apple pie, and coffee, while others are rarely mentioned in the same breath as dessert.

The fluorescent green chunks are believed to be reminiscent of green beans, although they are said to taste more like green tea. One of the brownish pieces is a sage stuffing flavor. And, of course, the bag includes turkey and sweet corn in sauce, which unfortunately tastes similar to the real thing.

Preparing a Thanksgiving meal takes a lot of work, and there have been many attempts to serve the nostalgic flavors in ready-to-eat packaging. In 2017, the West Coast ice cream chain Salt & Straw added flavors like mashed potatoes and gravy and salted caramel turkey to their menu. When Pringles introduced turkey crisps in 2019, they sold out immediately.

If your curiosity outweighs your best judgment, you can pick up a 12-ounce bag of Brach’s Turkey Sweet Corn at Amazon.
