BRILink agents continue to promote financial inclusion in Indonesia

With AgenBRILink, the BRI helps people living in remote areas to obtain banking services, in line with the financial inclusion priorities of the Indonesian G20 Presidency in 2022.

The number of BRILink agents has reached over 503,000 with 929 million transactions in 2021. These agents have contributed to the sharing economy system by 2 to 3 times the fee-based income of IDR 1,350,000,000,000 received by companies via BRILink.

BIS Chief Compliance Officer Ahmad Solichin Lutfiyanto explained that this effort was presented by IRB Mantri as a digital instructor. “These are micro-vendors who go into communities to provide financial literacy education.”

BRI Mantri reached more than 69,741 villages in Indonesia with over 31,000 Mantri. In addition, 65.5% or 617.8 trillion Indian rupees of the BIS loan portfolio implemented the Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) principles, up 12.2% year-on-year compared to 2020 IDR 550.4 trillion.

The economic potential brought by agents has been proven by Deska, a BRILink agent from Sengkol Praya unit, Lombok. With its grocery business, Deska’s average transaction reached 4,012 and sales volume was IDR 8.2 billion in February 2022.

SenyuM provides public access to business loans, BRI Simpedes UMi savings, pawn loans and gold savings, as well as back-office services to meet the transaction needs of Mekaar members PNM.

With SenyuM, BRI, Pegadaian, and PNM customers can transact in one place. BRI clients who wish to pledge or open a gold savings account can also use SenyuM.

SenyuM’s Ultra Micro Service Center, a combined office of BRI-Pegadaian-PNM, assists customers of these companies with transactions.
