The Calgary Stampede is really tempting the daring, with more than 40 new foods and drinks found midway through this year.

The annual tradition of finding new and sometimes wacky foods continues — and it starts with Bad Breath Lemonade (drink before heading to Nashville North). It’s a garlic-onion fusion with frozen lemonade.

You’ll still be able to get your classic corn dog and cotton candy, but this year you’ll be able to tackle items – many with a spicy twist to the classics.

“The spectacular and inventive dishes brought to Midway each year make the Calgary Stampede experience fun and memorable,” said Kyle Russell, Stampede Program Director.

Among this year’s menu items, Stampede fans will be able to get Honey Habanero, Bao Baos, Unagi Sushi Tacos, Octopus Rangoon popsicles. Or, how about a serving of glazed donut grilled cheese?

If you’re a hot dog lover, skip the corn dogs. Try Mealworm Hot Dogs and Cricket Hot Dogs this year. Maybe even the Korean squid ink corn dog. Promise they won’t make you squirm.

Yes, you can still stock up on classic mini donuts along the Midway.

“The dining experience is a ‘must do’ and by purchasing a Stampede SuperPass, customers can experience their foodie adventures throughout the 10 days,” Russell said.

The Calgary Stampede runs from July 8-17, 2022.

You can get a Calgary Stampede SuperPass online for $49.
