CASSADAGA — Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 reunited recently.
President Vicki Yonkers held the informal meeting with the members present. First, the ladies removed all the Christmas decorations from the station. The ladies in attendance discussed the department chair’s upcoming visit in February. Also discussed was a recent funeral luncheon and protocol for future funeral lunches.
It was noted that Unit 1280 membership is now at 83%; those who owe dues are asked to pay. There were also discussions on how to recruit more new members and a future induction ceremony.
Looking forward to the summer months, if the Sons of the Legion organize their evening cruises, the Auxiliary will continue its bake sales, perhaps branching out into salads to accompany hamburgers, hot dogs and the sausages that the Sons of the Legion provide. Members are also planning their May sale, as well as other fundraisers.
The next meeting of the Auxiliaries of Unit 1280 will take place on Tuesday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m.; all unit members are encouraged to attend.
Unit 1280 has corn brooms for sale for $12 each; and unit 1280 continues to collect stamps, Pennies for Hospice; and can tabs for Troop support and coupons which must be manufacturer only coupons which are cut and categorized:
