Cereals, pretzels, caramel and more

How do we like our cookies? Dirty and sweet — and Martha Stewart recently shared a delicious cookie recipe that encompasses both. Appropriately called Everything Cookies, each bite is a wild ride that includes everything from cereal flakes and pretzels to chocolate chips and caramel pieces.

“This ‘everything cookie’ will delight all types of snackers,” Stewart writes on Instagram, adding on her website, “If you like ice cream with lots of toppings, then these chocolate chip cookies might be your new favorite treat. .”

Taking just 20 minutes to prep, Stewart’s Everything cookies require all the usual cookie-making suspects, including softened unsalted butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, eggs , additional pure vanilla, flour and salt (Stewart specifically uses Diamond Crystal). But this irresistible batch of whole cookies wouldn’t be quite the same without your four star ingredients: cornflakes, semi-sweet chocolate, mini chopped pretzels, and Heath Toffee Bits.

Start by making your cookie dough in your mixer starting with your sugars, baking powder, baking soda and salt, followed by the eggs, vanilla and flour. And finally beat the cereal, chocolate, pretzels and caramel.

Next, the fun part: drop balls of dough onto your baking sheets. Be sure to place parchment paper first. Bake for just under 10 minutes, then remove the cookies from the oven to “bump” your sheet on the counter. Why?

“Extra-large balls of dough aren’t just over the top deliciousness: after hitting the sheets halfway through baking, you’re left with the perfect ratio of super soft centers and crispy edges,” says Stewart.

Bake again for just under 10 minutes, let cool and enjoy!
