The Claremont Senior Center Board of Trustees voted to reopen the center on a trial basis beginning Monday, January 17. Due to the high number of COVID-19 in our area, masks must be mandatory if not vaccinated. Drive-thru lunches will continue for the time being. The lunches will continue in drive for the moment. We hope to see our female pool sharks on Monday and our Bingo payers on Wednesday.

We have many activities. There are sign-up sheets at reception and the timetable in the lobby. Activities can be done anytime, including pool, knitting, hands and feet, mahjong, corn hole, and quilting. Socializing is always an option. We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are also open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Miracle Ear, Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic will continue as planned.

Our January foot clinics will take place on Wednesdays January 19th and 26th. You must call 603-748-1731 to make an appointment with them. The fee is $25.

Our next men’s luncheon will be on Monday January 24th. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. and service begins at 8:15 a.m. Open to the public. Men only. Members are $2, non-members are $3.

We are still maintaining our drive-thru meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Here is next week’s menu:

Soup, homemade salisbury steak, egg noodles with sauce, vegetables and dessert.

Thursday January 20Birthday dinner: soup, homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetables and cake.

You must call 603-543-5998 by 10:30 a.m. to reserve your meal. Members $4, non-members $5. Drive-thru pick-up is from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Meals are always subject to change.

AARP will do taxes at the center on Fridays from Friday, February 4 through Friday, April 8. Please call 802-345-5414 to schedule an appointment. Do not call the senior center for an appointment.

We are looking for a chef. If anyone is interested in this volunteer (unpaid) work, please come and tell us. We are also looking for a General Manager. If anyone is interested in this paid position, please contact us at the center.

It features the winners of this year’s 2021 Motor Show with a photo of a different class winning vehicle each month. Only $12 when picked up at the center, add $6 shipping and handling for each calendar if we ship to you.
