Crispy Streets is Miami’s first Korean corn dog food truck

Food in Miami tends to be Hispanic wherever you go. If you need to find Cuban Cafecito, there will be a place less than a mile away, but when it comes to anything else, you might need to do some research. There are a number of Chinese restaurants and Japanese sushi restaurants that are all the rage right now, but if you’re looking for more Korean-style food, those numbers are still very few.

South Asian creative stick meal, otherwise known as Korean corn dog, started gaining popularity in 2016. It is a perfect and trendy treat, not only to eat, but also for the media social. However, the only way to get a Korean Corn Dog was to travel hundreds of miles to Orlando.

So far. The yummy treat has hit the streets of Miami.

Crispy Streets is Miami’s first Korean Corn Dog food truck, with, of course, a fun Latin twist to the recipe. Present for the first time on social networks in March 2021, the food truck quickly grew to attract just over ten thousand subscribers. This small local business has a lot to offer with a vast majority of options on the menu, from seven crispy creations to choose from, three refreshing flavors of boba, churros and, their latest addition, street fries!

True to South Korean fashion, the menu offers a half dog or half cheese option. The Latin mix comes into play with menu options such as “Cuban Guy”, “Fried Guavita”, and “El Santiago”. The menu also includes a vegan option for those who would still like to try the meal on a meatless stick. Deviating from the traditional recipe, Crispy Streets proposes to include ingredients typically served Hispanic-style, adding that sweet and salty twist to that crunchy, salty goodness.

Settle into a service station at the corner of 8e street, only twenty minutes from my house, I had no choice but to satisfy a long-standing craving. The first detail of the review, the Crispy Streets team provided the best customer service with just a few words. The ordering process made simple and fast. On the menu, the prices are relatively cheap, making it easy to come back for more. Already been twice, and it can be confirmed that anything on the Crispy Streets menu is going to be good.

Among the crispy creations, the “Cheesy Couch Potato” is the best standard Korean dog you can get. It’s simple but the potatoes wrapped in fried batter add that extra crunch. Fried guava and cream cheese drizzle queso frito on top, true Miami style. Another popular creation, the “Flamin Inu” fried with ramen noodles and topped with hot Cheetos, definitely give it a try for that major crunch factor. The newest addition to the street fries was the standout dish. The combo of fries with all the sauces and toppings is the perfect comfort food. A must on the menu.

The Crispy Streets food truck, although relatively new, offers very good food and care for its customers. I highly recommend anyone in the Miami area who craves Korean corn dogs to check out the truck. Check them out on Instagram here.
