Boy, winter quickly intensified. So let’s imagine it’s summer for one last weekend.

WindsorEats Tacos & Tequila Theme Week takes place this week from November 17-20, 2022. Each vendor will be serving their version of tacos, giving you unique and tasty dishes to savor.

Located at 400 Erie St. E., you can be assured that indoor dining will be enjoyable and hearty. That being said, here is a preview of what our vendors will be cooking up this week.

Rico Taco’s traditional tacos.

RICO-TACO

BIRRIA TACOS

What are Birria Tacos, you ask? It is a traditionally sweet, sour, and spicy Mexican beef stew that is slowly cooked until the beef is tender and placed in a corn tortilla. It’s so juicy and delicious. You then dunk the tacos in the broth of the stew and watch yourself become addicted to the flavors.

FISH TACOS

These are pretty, unreal fish tacos, made with basa, topped with pico de gallo, red cabbage, homemade chipotle sauce, all wrapped in a flour tortilla.

CARNE ASADA TACOS

Grilled carne asada served on corn tortillas, garnished with onions, cilantro, cream of guacamole and salsa on the side.

TACOS AL PASTOR

Al pastor is made with crispy shavings of spit-roasted pork, marinated with guajillo peppers with lots more spice and served on corn tortillas, topped with cilantro onions, pineapple slice and cream of guacamole and salsa to side.

WINDSOREATS TEST KITCHEN

BUTTER CHICKEN TACOS

Yeah! A beautiful Indo-Mexican fusion that our chef Adrian has worked hard to perfect. Savor a naan shell stuffed with traditional butter chicken and topped with diced tomatoes and cilantro raita. Absolutely delicious!

KOREAN BULGOGI

If you couldn’t tell, we left the traditional Mexican tacos to Rico Taco. These Korean Bulgogi Tacos are ridiculously flavorful and loaded with beef bulgogi, topped with a refreshing pear and pineapple Asian slaw and kimchi. It is then drizzled with a fresh and silky Gochujang sauce.

ICE CREAM TACO

It’s never too cold for an ice cream. We made homemade pizzelle shells that are dipped in chocolate, filled with ice cream, then drizzled with chocolate and sprinkles.

LA BOUUFFERIE VEGAN (Sat. & Sun. Only)

HEARTLESS QUESABIRRIA

Enjoy shredded seitan beef with creamy cashew cheese on corn tortillas dipped in savory flavor.

BAJA PHISH TACOS

Spicy lime mayo, crispy pickled cabbage, peach salsa and non-alcoholic beer breaded “phish” in a corn tortilla.

TANDOORI TACOS

Tandoori flavored “chicken” drizzled with coconut cilantro sauce and garnished with pickled onions.

POW WOW TACOS

Not your usual taco, it’s a vegan version of a traditional native dish. Fried bread, topped with chili, guac and vegan sour cream.

As always, we will also be serving tequila cocktails like our margaritas to complete the evening. We have so many margarita recipes (over 20) that we encourage you to grab a flight of margaritas so you can sample many.

The evening is free and takes place:

5pm-11pm Thursday 17 November
5am-12am Friday, November 18
12pm-9pm Saturday November 19
12pm-8pm Sunday November 20

Also, don’t forget that every Sunday is a day of family fun at WindsorEats with crafts available for kids (and adults).
