TO THE WEST

Westerly Senior Center is located at 39 State St., Westerly. Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Staff members will be available Monday through Friday at 401-596-2404.

An on-site catering service is available for lunch. Call 401-596-7216 or sign the clipboard outside the center catering site office by Thursday to order. A $3 donation is requested.

PAWCATUCK

Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, 27 Chase St., Pawcatuck.

The Seniors Transportation Program provides free door-to-door transportation Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for residents of Stonington, Mystic, Westerly and North Stonington ages 55 and older. The program uses a bus with an elevator accessible to people with disabilities. Call 860-599–3285 ext. 102, to plan a trip 48 hours in advance.

Help with heating and utilities, pantry, and daily necessities are available at no charge, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The PNC Library offers books for borrowing Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The PNC thrift store is open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is looking for volunteers to work on Saturdays.

Program:

Group lunches at the Seniors Center are served daily at 11 a.m. Lunches are free or a $3 donation for people 62 and older.

CHARLESTOWN

Charlestown Senior/Community Center, Country Trail, Ninigret Park, 401-364-9955. Center hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Staff are on hand to provide telephone support to seniors in the community who have questions, concerns, or are looking for any type of update. Currently, masks are mandatory for everyone at the senior center.

Lunch will be served Monday through Friday at noon in the Center’s Parkside Dining Room. Reservations must be made by noon two days in advance by calling 401-364-6998.

Medicare Registration Open: Universal Healthcare Wealth Management will be at the center to discuss, one-on-one, Medicare options on Thursday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, November 16 at 10:30 a.m. Call the center to register for one sessions.

RICHMOND

On Saturday, November 12, from noon to 3 p.m., the Richmond Senior Center will hold an open house to honor all veterans. There will be a display of flags from all services of the armed forces, a display of photos of veterans, past and present, and the US Department of Veterans Affairs will have an information booth. Refreshments will be served. The event is free.
