Grab your wingman and land at Top Gun Bar & Grill in Puyallup for great food, drinks and a great view of small planes taking off and landing at Pierce County’s Thun Field against the scenic backdrop of Mount Rainier.
The establishment, which opened three years ago when owners Denise and Chuck Fain took over the old place, has been completely renovated.
The menu features fine bar fare and plenty of beer and cocktails to go.
“We’re giving the community something they’ve been dreaming of,” said general manager Mia Perry. “We took the vibe of your hometown bar, made it clean and nice, and really improved our menu. Our food is always consistent, from salads and pastas, from homemade soups to steak burgers that are never frozen.
Known as “The Adult Playground,” Top Gun is reputed to have the most pull-along games in the South Sound.
From additional games like corn hole, billiards and darts to a night of rock n’ roll bingo, there’s no shortage of fun here. You will also find karaoke, a DJ, live music in the summer and comedy shows once a month as well as many sporting events on the big screen.
As a bonus, it has a huge covered outdoor patio directly overlooking the airport runway and the mountain.
With heaters for cooler evenings, customers can satisfy their need for speed with drinks and meals as planes come and go.
