Pemberville to celebrate spring with ‘Breakfast with the Peeps’ and Easter Bunny – BG Independent News


Pemberville celebrates the arrival of spring on Saturday, April 9.

A “Touch of Spring” open house will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Beeker General Store on Front Street, where there will be seasonal decorations and nostalgic Easter items.

“Breakfast with the Peeps” will take place at The Gathering Place (next to Beeker’s) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No reservation is necessary. The menu will include pancakes, sausages, scrambled egg cups, tater tots, fruit cups, Peeps cereal, milk (chocolate and white), orange juice and coffee.

Meals will cost $5.95 for children, $7.95 for adults, and children 3 and under can eat free with the purchase of an adult meal.

Then, visit the Easter Bunny by jumping on the Bunny Trail (outside the Henline building) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will deliver treats to children, courtesy of the Pemberville Independent Merchants Association and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 183.

Located inside the Henline building, there will be a school book fair full of great reads for toddlers through middle school.

Janet Rasmusson of “Paper Delights” will be offering intricate paper art for gifts.

New to town, Perrysburg’s Nene’s Sweets Food Truck will serve cupcakes, macaroons, oatmeal cream pies, cheesecake, ice cream and milkshakes. SoBee Honey will have plenty of local raw honey for sale in containers of various sizes. Additionally, CRB will sell beeswax candles and several flavors of infused honey – cinnamon, espresso, vanilla, blueberry and lavender. Fresh baked goods, including several varieties of cookies and breads, will be sold, along with Poppin’ George’s Kettle Corn.

Beeker’s candy counter will include individually wrapped Giannios chocolates. The Chocolate Connection’s specialty chocolates will feature Chocolate Covered Oreos, Chocolate Covered Pretzels and Fresh Cacao Bombs (only during the Easter season.)
