There’s an amazing Halloween train going on in Hamburg

Trains are one of those things that never get old. Of course, trains aren’t used to travel like years ago, but they bring out the kids in us and provide a great way to explore the scenery. It’s even better when it’s in the middle of the fall season.

Now that it is October, the leaves will turn into peak foliage soon and Halloween is only four weeks away. What better way to celebrate the Halloween holidays than to take a train ride with the family.

The Buffalo Cattaraugus & Jamestown Scenic Railway runs autumn train rides for people of all ages that take place in Hamburg and take you through the southern scenes.

They are also hosting a Halloween Train Ride which will take place on October 23-24, as well as on October 30th and 31st.

The train will depart at 4 Scott Street in the heart of Hamburg and stop halfway to Zittel’s Country Market for family fun and activities for the kids. Two trains will leave at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively.

Kids will even have pumpkins on the train ride!

The Buffalo Cattaraugus & Jamestown Scenic Railway requests that customers arrive 30 minutes before their train departs and that COVID-19 protocols be followed as well.

I lived in Hamburg for a few years, not too far from the train tracks where this train ride takes place. It’s always fun to watch the trains go by and it’s more special during the fall. Tickets can be purchased here.
