West Side Rag’ Grand Bazaar NYC to Host a ‘Sweet, Hot & Spicy’ Pop-Up Sunday 2/27 on 77th and Columbus

A special one-day-only Sweet, Hot & Spicy pop-up will take place on Sunday, February 27, at Grand Bazaar NYC (W. 77th Street and Columbus Avenue) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., a press release said.

“Visitors can get an endorphin rush from over 20 artisan food vendors that spice up and sweeten the ‘mid-winter’ blues. Some of the food vendors participating in the Sweet pop-up, This year’s Hot & Spicy include Jamaican heat from Treat YourSelf Jerk, addictive Korean corn dogs from ClubDog, searing Indian curries from Mysttik Masaala, hot Taiwanese popcorn chicken and fish from Yummy Taiwanese, fiery empanadas from Empanada Papa , handcrafted in small batches of artisan hot sauces from Hattwood Hot Sauce and bold, Brooklyn-made hot sauces from Cantina Royal. On the sweet side, there will be The Boiis with handmade mochi-stuffed dessert bites, Althea’s Tropical Delights bringing sweet tasting cakes from the Caribbean, BITE’s creative artisan mini donuts, Culiraw with flavorful and decadent raw vegan cakes, and protein e de Broma – packaged and flavored almond + lentil + chocolate butter spread.

Plus, visitors can explore and buy from more than 70 independent vintage artists, designers, and dealers.

Grand Bazaar NYC was created to provide funding to four Upper West Side public schools and to support small independent local merchants and entrepreneurs. Every time a seller commits to selling their products in the marketplace, PS 87, The Computer School, PS 334, and MS M247 Dual Language Middle School benefit. 100% of the net proceeds from booth rentals benefit over 2,000 public school children by providing much-needed school supplies, books, art enrichment and sports programs. »
